house pinning

January 22, 2015

I mentioned briefly in one of my posts at the beginning of the year that we would be moving at some point this year. To say that I’m greatly anticipating this would be an understatement. And about that whole patience thing? Well, my husband would tell you that I’m not doing so well with that one – just ask his inbox that has about ten thousand listings in it because I have been searching for homes EVERY DAY.

I’m not sure how it’s all going to pan out with the timing of it all. Truthfully, I would love to have the move be sometime in the late spring or early summer so I could have the rest of the summer to be working on putting the house in order while I am off of work. John, however, would love for it to be later in the year when he isn’t quite as busy, can invest more time into some "honey do" projects, and when we’re at home anyway because the weather is cold. Regardless, whenever it does happen, I know we will both be so grateful. While we love our current home, we are bursting at the seams with two children and a sixty pound dog. We need more space… pronto!

Recently I have been all about Pinterest. I go through phases with Pinterest. There are times where I can go months without pinning a thing, and then all of a sudden I find myself pinning everything on the internets. This is one of those times. I have no idea what style of house we will end up in, although most houses in our area are traditional homes - some siding, some brick - with similar layouts. I thought I would share some pins on some designs that I love and would like to find a way to incorporate into our next home! I love white (as evidenced by all of the white trim and cabinetry below) and homey spaces. I want to be able to live in all of the space of our home – I’m not a big fan of “formal” spaces. A girl can dream with all of the ideas I’m sharing below, right? 😉
